NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Seven different members of the University of Dayton women's soccer team were named All-Atlantic 10 Conference Thursday, Nov. 2, as fifth-years
Laney Huber and
Alicia Donley, as well as senior
Diana Benigno were each named to the league's First Team.
In addition to the three First Team members, the Flyers also had fifth-years
Marlee Taylor and
Mackenzie Lutz, and sophomore
Batoul Reda named Second Team All-Atlantic 10. Freshman
Maddie Bowman earned a spot on the All-Rookie team, and both Huber and Taylor were named All-Academic team.
Huber, who earned the First Team nod as one of three forwards, was Dayton's leading goal scorer on the season, finding the back of the net seven times during her final campaign as a Flyer. The Loveland, Ohio native also added an assist to finish the campaign with 15 points. It is the second All-Atlantic 10 honor of Huber's career, after earning Second Team in 2021, and the first time she has earned an All-Academic team nod.
The All-Atlantic 10 honor was the first of the career for senior midfielder
Diana Benigno, who was one of three midfielders to achieve First Team All-Conference status. The Beavercreek, Ohio native led the Flyers in assists on the season with six, finishing in a tie for third in the league. Benigno was named A-10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week during the season after scoring the game-tying goal at Saint Louis and registering an assist against Davidson.
Fifth-year
Alicia Donley was Dayton's final First Team member, proving to be a key member of the Flyer defense once again. The Pickerington, Ohio native started 17 games and played 1,388 minutes as a defender, scored two goals and added three assists for seven points on the campaign. It was Donley's second All-Atlantic 10 postseason honor, having been named Second Team All-Conference a season ago.
Fellow fifth-year
Marlee Taylor earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors as a midfielder as well as All-Academic team honors, playing at a dynamic level all season. The Plymouth, Mich. native had four goals and a career-best five assists for 13 total points, and was also named a Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 honoree (No. 99). Taylor was also a Second Team All-Atlantic 10 member in 2021.

Mackenzie Lutz finished her illustrious Dayton career by earning a Second Team All-Atlantic 10 nod. The Slyvania, Ohio native etched her name in the UD record books by becoming just the seventh field player in program history to surpass the 7,000 minutes mark, finishing at No. 2 all-time with 7,825 minutes. Lutz earned All-Conference honors in each of her final three seasons with Dayton.
Batoul Reda was named Second Team All-Atlantic 10 goalkeeper, putting a bow on a fantastic season for the sophomore. The Dearborn, Mich. native turned in a .891 save percentage for the season and held a 0.52 goals-against average, good for second-best in Dayton single-season history. Freshman
Maddie Bowman represented the Flyers on the All-Rookie team, finishing the season with one goal and one assist. The Saint Louis native's first career goal was a game-winner against VCU, leading to her being named A-10 Co-Rookie of the Week.
Dayton's six individuals honored on the A-10's first and second teams is the most since 2013 when the Flyers had five first team members and one second teamer.
