ÂDAYTON – University of Dayton women's golf head coach
Ali Green has announced the addition of two incoming student-athletes to the Flyers' roster for the 2023-24 season. Kylee Heidemann (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mercy McAuley) and Amy Frazier (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) have committed to academic and athletic careers at University of Dayton.
"These two young ladies will be a wonderful addition to our team," commented Green. "I am thrilled to welcome them and their families to the Dayton family. Great things are coming for Dayton women's golf."
Heidemann is wrapping up her senior year at Cincinnati's Mercy McAuley High School after four varsity seasons under head coach Ernie Petri. The two-time team captain became McAuley girls golf team's first OHSAA Division I State Champion this past fall with her first-place score of 72-69=141 on Ohio State's Gray Course. Heidemann, the 2022 Girls Greater Catholic League (GGCL) Player of the Year, is a four-time member of the GGCL First Team. She is also a Southwest Ohio All-District Team honoree and was named to the All-Ohio First Team in 2022.
Frazier recently completed her senior season at Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, under head coach Megan Ryan. She led her team to the 2022 IHSAA Angola Sectional title with her second-place finish after carding an 81. Frazier also claimed second place in the 2022 East Noble regional with a score of 70 before closing out her final prep season with a 32nd-place finish among the field of 100 competitors at the state finals. A 2022 All-State Team member, Frazier holds the Maple Grove Golf Club course record for women's low round of 67 and was a member of Homestead High School's state runner-up finish in 2020.
