OXFORD – The University of Dayton track and field throwers finished their regular season finale at the RedHawk Invitational on Saturday with some promising results as they prepare for the A-10 Outdoor Championships next weekend.

While it was a small squad at Miami, the Flyers that competed made their tuneup weekend worthwhile. Jillian Yates and Grace Homan both made their javelin throw debuts, and Yates finished in third place with a 31.36m throw. Freshman Maggie Hofner also finished with PRs in all three of her events: hammer throw, discus, and shot put.
