Women's Soccer Releases 2023 Schedule

The Flyers Play 10 Games At Baujan This Season

DAYTON – University of Dayton head women's soccer coach Eric Golz has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2023 season. The slate includes 11 matches at Baujan Field, including three home bouts against opponents from the Big 12, ACC, and Big Ten conferences.
 
"We are excited about our 2023 team and the opportunities ahead in our schedule," said Golz. "We play a number of teams that will enter the season with NCAA tournament aspirations, and we will have the opportunity to compete to build a resume for tournament consideration. Several quality opponents are coming to Baujan Field this fall, and we can't wait to see and hear the support of the incredible Flyer Faithful!"
 
The Flyers open the 2023 campaign with a pair of exhibition matches, traveling to the University of Michigan on Aug. 6 and hosting Ohio University on Aug. 12.
 
The regular season kicks off with the first of four consecutive home games, as UD takes on Loyola (Md.) on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. The Flyers then welcome Cincinnati (Aug. 20, 6 p.m.) and Louisville (Aug. 24, 7 p.m.) for back-to-back games under the lights at Baujan Field, as well as Illinois (Aug. 27, 1 p.m.) to finish the month's home slate.

Dayton wraps the month of August with its first road match of the regular season, traveling to Akron Thursday, Aug. 31 for a 7:30 p.m. match. The Flyers then take on Wright State in Fairborn for its first match of September Sunday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m.
 
UD's final home non-conference game is Sept. 7 as they play host to IUPUI at 7 p.m. The Flyers close the non-conference portion of the schedule at Michigan State on Sept. 10.
 
The Atlantic 10 portion of the schedule kicks off on the road, as Dayton travels to St. Bonaventure Sept. 14. The Flyers welcome Massachusetts to the Gem City Sept. 17 for the first home A-10 showdown then plays host to Davidson on Sept. 21 for a 7 p.m. contest.
 
UD travels to reigning A-10 champion Saint Louis Sunday, Sept. 24, and then the Flyers wrap the month of September with a home match against Fordham Thursday, Sept. 28.
 
Dayton plays back-to-back road matches to start October, traveling to George Washington Oct. 1 and then to VCU Oct. 8.
 
The final two matches of the home campaign come in mid-October when the Flyers welcome George Mason on Oct. 12 and then play host to Loyola Chicago on Sunday, Oct. 15.
 
The regular season wraps with a road match at Rhode Island Sunday, Oct. 22.
 
The top four seeds based on conference records will host the Atlantic 10 quarterfinal match-ups on either Oct. 28 or 29, with the highest remaining seed following those matches set to host the semifinals on Nov. 3 and the championship match on Nov. 5.
