Hoagland Announces 2023-24 Men's Golf Schedule

Flyers Opening Season at Marquette Intercollegiate Sept. 3-5

DAYTON – University of Dayton men's golf head coach Gip Hoagland has announced the complete 2023-24 schedule, a slate that features five events in the fall highlighted by the 2023 Dayton Flyer Invitational in October. The Flyers will compete in six events in the spring, culminating with the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship April 26-28.

UD is set to kick off the fall portion of its schedule at the Marquette Intercollegiate Sept. 3-5, the first event of the year that will feature the NCAA's new live scoring partner Spikemark. The three-round tournament will be competed at Erin Hills in Hartford, Wisconsin. The Flyers will then be in West Virginia for Marshall's Joe Feaganes Invitational Sept. 11-12 at Guyan Golf & Country Club.

October will be busy with three consecutive weeks of competition, starting with the Tom Tontimonia Invitational Oct. 2-3. Cleveland State will be hosting the Flyers at Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood, Ohio. The following week, Dayton will be in West Lafayette, Indiana, for Purdue's Fall Invitational Oct. 9-10 at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex Ackerman-Allen Course.

The squad will close out the fall by hosting its annual Dayton Flyer Invitational Oct. 16-17. The 54-hole event will be played at NCR Country Club and contested on the South Course.

The Flyers will open spring 2024 at the MAC/A-10 Match Play event Feb. 5-6 at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City, Florida. The Wexford Intercollegiate will be up next Feb. 19-20, hosted by Francis Marion at Wexford Golf Course in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

March will bring a trip back to South Carolina for the Surf Club Invitational. Appalachian State will be hosting the two-day event at Surf Golf & Beach Club March 11-12 in North Myrtle Beach. Dayton will compete in the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate March 24-26, cohosted by South Alabama and Eastern Michigan at the Robert Trent Jones Magnolia Grove in Mobile, Alabama.

The Flyers will take the short trip to Columbus for Ohio State's Robert Kepler Invitational April 19-21. The Buckeyes are hosting the annual event at OSU Golf Club and the tournament will be contested on the Scarlet Course. UD will close out April at the 2024 Atlantic 10 Golf Championship April 26-28, location to be determined.

The 2024 NCAA Regionals will be played May 13-15 at predetermined campus sites followed by the NCAA Championship May 24-29 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
