NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its men's soccer preseason poll and All-Conference teams ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Dayton was tabbed to finish second in the league behind favorites and reigning champions Saint Louis. The Flyers were also chosen ahead of Loyola Chicago, who received one first-place vote, VCU, and Duquesne.
On the preseason All-Conference team, UD had a pair of student-athletes recognized in sophomore midfielder
Basit Umar and senior goalkeeper
Dario Caetano. Umar was the A-10 Rookie of the Year last season and Second Team All-Atlantic 10 while Caetano was honored on the All-Rookie team.
Dayton kicks-off the regular season this Thursday, Aug. 24 at 4 p.m. against UC Davis in the Ohio State Wolstein Classic.
