Mairin Wessner has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Mairin Wessner led the Flyers' high-scoring offense with three total goals and an assist for seven points in Dayton's opening week of action. After scoring her first goal of the season in
UD's 4-1 win over Loyola Maryland, the Northville, Mich. native came back to score two goals and tally an assist against in-state foe Cincinnati in another 4-1 Flyer victory.
Wessner leads the Atlantic 10 in points in the young season (7) and is tied for first with the most goals scored on the campaign (3), while Dayton is tied for the A-10 lead as a team with eight goals scored.
