CoSIDA – University of Dayton forward
Nate Santos was named today to the Academic All-District 5 team, as selected by College Sport Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).
Santos, a junior from Geneva, Ill., started all 33 games for the Flyers. He was Dayton's second leading scorer (11.7) and rebounder (6.3) in 2023-24. A transfer from Pitt, he needed just 10 games at Dayton to surpass what he scored in two years at Pitt (116 points in 54 games).
Santos was Third Team All-Atlantic 10, was selected to the 2023 Shriners Children's Hospitals Charleston Classic All-Tournament Team. He was also First Team Academic All-Atlantic 10. He was tenth in the A-10 in minutes (33.5), tied for 10th in rebounding (6.3) and fifth in three-point percentage (.418, 51-122).
The Communication major carries a 3.56 GPA. He was an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar nominee.
Dayton finished 25-8 on the year, ending the season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
