Grenda Claims First Weekly #A10WSOC Rookie Of The Week Honor

Dayton Opens It's 2024 Home Slate Wednesday Against Cleveland State

WASHINGTON -- University of Dayton women's soccer freshman Liv Grenda has earned the Atlantic 10's first Rookie of the Week honor as announced by the league office on Aug. 19.

Duquesne junior Margey Brown earned the league's initial Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award while Loyola Chicago sophomore Allison Deardorff notched Defensive honors.

Grenda scored her first career goal in the 11' minute of Dayton's 2-1 win at Loyola Maryland Thursday. The Perkasi, Pa., native led the team with four shots, three of which were on goal, and played 66 minutes in her collegiate debut.

UP NEXT
Dayton will open the home portion of its 2024 schedule next week as it welcomes Cleveland State to campus. The Flyers and Vikings will square off Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field. Admission is free.
