DAYTON – The University of Dayton and the Dayton Boat Club have partnered together in the construction of a new boathouse complex on the Miami River in nearby Moraine.
A dedication ceremony was held Sunday morning with representatives of both groups as well as special guests that helped contribute to the project. Lead donors Dr. Tom Olsen and Mary Boosalis were present to participate in the ribbon cutting.
Dayton women's rowing head coach
Adam Herrick was on hand, as well as President Eric Spina and Director of Athletics
Neil Sullivan. After remarks were given, attendees were able to explore the new space and student-athletes were introduced to the state-of-the-art facility as well.
The new complex will provide secure storage space, improved river access, sheltered gathering and meeting areas, and increased training capacity and safety.
