Kamryn Hunt have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held Nov. 10-16.
Dobruna scored one goal and assisted on two others during Dayton's two Atlantic 10 Championship matches this past week. The defender from Waterbury, Conn., assisted UD's first goal and netted the game winner, his first goal of the season, in the Flyers' 2-1 A-10 Semifinal win at Fordham on Wednesday. In the A-10 Final match at Saint Louis on Sunday, Dobruna assisted on
Miles Bonham's goal in the 34th minute to put Dayton up, 1-0. After a 1-1 draw, the Flyers fell to the No. 22 Billikens, 5-4, in penalty kicks. He was named to the A-10 All-Championship Team for his work over three tournament matches.
Hunt, an outside hitter from Sylvania, Ohio, led Dayton with 40 kills and averaged 6.67 kills per set in straight-set wins over Rhode Island. She also finished the weekend with a .516 attack percentage, recording six service aces, seven digs and three block assists. Hunt earned her second A-10 Player of the Week honor of the season on Monday.
