DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's soccer team will open its spring 2025 slate Friday, Feb. 21 with a 7 p.m. matchup at Ohio State. The Flyers will play a total of five spring games, including three matches in the 2025 Spring Cup.
Dayton will open Spring Cup play at Louisville on March 7 and will play the first of two home spring contests on March 29 against Ashland. Kentucky will be in Dayton April 6 for both teams' second Spring Cup match and the Flyers will close out the spring slate at Xavier for the Spring Cup Finals on April 13.
The Spring Cup is a round-robin style tournament featuring 6 teams (split into 3 teams per bracket) that will play two group stage games before advancing to the championship rounds. Dayton competes in Group 2 with Kentucky and Louisville.

The Flyers return six players that started in all 20 matches last season including rising senior
Kyra Karfonta who was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Third Team. Karfonta also earned 2024 Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team accolades as the defender scored a career-high five goals, including three game winners, and tallied a career-high six assists for a total of 16 points. Additionally, she was also named to the A-10 All-Academic Team and CSC Academic All-District Team for her work in the classroom and on the pitch.
