Peralta Shines At Mount Union Last Chance For #UDTF

Claims Victory With New PR And The Third Longest Throw In School History

Alliance, Ohio - Daniela Peralta was the only participant from the University of Dayton Track and Field team to compete at the Mount Union Last Chance Meet on Wednesday, at Kehres Stadium on the campus of the University of Mount Union. The Gillette, New Jersey native saved her best for last and might have thrown her way into the NCAA Championships East Regional with her win in the javelin.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Peralta won the event with a new personal best of 47.50m. The throw marks the third longest throw in program history and the 37th best throw in the NCAA East Region this season. The junior hopes to be the second member of UD javelin to compete at the NCAA Regionals later this month. It was the first career win for Peralta, who also posted her seventh top-five finish this year.

Casey Bogues will compete at the NCAA Regional Championships in Jacksonville, Florida. Jadyn Haywood and Daniela Peralta hope to join Bogues at the NCAA Regionals, the official field will be announced Sunday. The NCAA regional meet will take place from May 28-31.
