JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of Dayton track and field team sent three Flyers to compete at the NCAA East Region First Round at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday. Casey Bogues and Daniela Peralta both competed in the javelin and Jadyn Haywood ran in the 100m dash. All three finished a successful season at the University of North Florida and became just the second trio in program history to compete at the East Regional in the same year.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Jadyn Haywood made her first appearance at the NCAA East Region First Round and finished 42nd in the 100m with a time of 11.50.
- Casey Bogues came up just short with a throw of 47.69m to finish 20th. The Red Bank, New Jersey native competed in her fourth career NCAA East Regional.
- Daniela Peralta competed at the NCAA East Region First Round for the first time in her career and finished 45th with a throw of 39.89m.
