TERRE HAUTE, Ind - University of Dayton track and field was represented by two athletes,
Casey Bogues and
Daniela Peralta, in the javelin throw at the Sycamore Open on Friday, hosted by Indiana State University. It was the third-time this year UDTF competed in Terre Hatute, Indiana and the second-time for both Bogues and Peralta. The Sycamore Open marked the last competition before the NCAA Regional Championships, which will take place later this month in Jacksonville, Florida.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Casey Bogues won for the fourth-time this season and claimed her 16th victory for her career with a first place throw of 48.86m. It was her second win at Indiana State this year, the redshirt senior won the Gibson Invitational (47.09m) back in April.
- Daniela Peralta finished fifth on Friday, with a throw of 40.41m. It was her six top five finish on the year.

Bogues holds th 20th-best throw in the nation this season and will compete at the NCAA Regional Championships in Jacksonville, Florida. The NCAA regional meet will take place from May 28-31.
