DAYTON – The University of Dayton announced its men's basketball non-conference schedule today, hosting eight games and two exhibition games at UD Arena prior to Atlantic 10 Conference play. The Flyers will kick off the regular season on Monday, Nov. 3.
The Flyers host a pair of exhibition games at the Epicenter of College Basketball, starting with "The Spotlight To Shine A Light On Mental Health Presented by CareSource" against Penn State on Sunday, Oct. 19. UD will also host a traditional exhibition game against Bowling Green on Monday, Oct. 27.
The regular season begins with a pair of home games against Canisius (Nov. 3) and UMBC (Nov. 8), followed by a trip to the Queen City to take on Cincinnati at Fifth Third Arena (Nov. 11).
After returning to UD Arena to take on Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 15), the Flyers hit the road once again, this time to take on Marquette at Fiserv Forum (Nov. 19). Dayton's final game before its two-game trip to Florida is against N.C. Central (Nov. 22).
The field at the 2025 ESPN Events Invitational Magic Bracket includes the Flyers, BYU, Georgetown and Miami (Fla.). UD's first game of the event will be against Georgetown on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, with its second game coming Friday, Nov. 28. Three of the four teams in the ESPN Events Invitational played in the postseason last year, with BYU making the Sweet 16, Dayton playing in the NIT, and Georgetown participating in the inaugural College Basketball Crown.
As the calendar turns to December, the Flyers return to UD Arena to take on ETSU (Dec. 2).
Sandwiched between Dayton's December home games is a neutral-site showdown with Virginia. The Flyers and Cavaliers will square off at the home of the Charlotte Hornets, the Spectrum Center, in Charlotte, N.C. on Dec. 6.
UD finishes the non-conference with three consecutive home games, taking on North Florida (Dec. 13), Florida State (Dec. 16), and Liberty (Dec. 20).
Game times will be announced at a later date, as will the complete Atlantic 10 schedule.
With the non-conference schedule now finalized, UD season ticketholders should look for invoices to be added to their accounts today, Thursday, August 21.
