#UDTF Wraps Up Weekend Of Competition At Findlay And Wittenberg

The Flyers Set PRs and All-Time Marks

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - University of Dayton track and field competed this weekend at The University of Findlay and Wittenberg University. Throwers were in Findlay for the Flag City Open, and a group of sprinters, jumpers, and distance runners traveled to The Steemer on the campus of Wittenberg University for the Wittenberg Invitational. The two meets are the Flyers' last competitions before the Atlantic 10 Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia, next weekend.

Highlights
  • Five Flyers placed in the top six of the weight throw at Findlay. Senior Rebekah Conrad won the event with a mark of 18.07m. Senior Maggie Hofner set a PR of 15.84m and finished fourth. Graduate Student Elaina Panagakos also set a new personal best of 15.75m to finish fifth.
  • Conrad and Yater finished second and third in the shot put with marks of 12.96m and 1.54m, respectively.
  • Sophomore Jameson Pillifant set a PR of 8.71 and moved to third in program history in the 60m hurdles as she finished second.
  • Juniors Cara Mooney and Bryn Hothem took the top two spots in the mile. They both set personal bests of 4:56.79 and 5:01.65, respectively.
  • Flyers took three of the top four spots in the long jump. Freshman Gianna Lane won the event, tying her PR of 5.33m. Sophomore Charlotte Deines and Freshman Autumn Price finished third and fourth, respectively.
  • Every UD 800m runner set a PR in the event, led by Sophomore Mia Gill who ran the second fastest time in program history of 2:13.62.
