KANSAS CITY, Mo. - University of Dayton men's basketball player
Javon Bennett has been recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for his performances during the 2025-26season by being named Second Team NABC All-East District.
Bennett was named First Team All-Atlantic 10 as well as to the A-10 All-Tournament Team last week.
During the regular season, Bennett led the Flyers in scoring (16.2) and assists (2.0), while also turning in the best free-throw shooting season since Brian Roberts in 2008 by shooting 90% (117-of-130) from the charity stripe. He joined the 1,000 career point club in the first game of the season against Canisius, and became just the third transfer student-athlete to eclipse the 1,000 point mark in his UD career. He has now accumulated 1,531 overall career points and 1,204 as a Flyer.
The All-District Teams were selected and voted upon by member coaches of the NABC.
Dayton was 23-11 during the regular season, finished fourth in the A-10 with a 12-6 conference record, and played for the A-10 Championship for the first time since 2023.
