Kylee Heidemann have been named the
Ohio's 529 Plan CollegeAdvantage Student-Athletes of the Week. These awards are for contests held April 6-12.
Smith Jr. went 7-for-15 this past week, including three doubles, one triple and one home run. The Pensacola, Fla., native also recorded five RBI and scored six runs. On the base path, he went 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts. At center field, he had 11 putouts against Toledo and Saint Joseph's.
Hailing fron Cincinnati, Heidemann recorded her third first-place finish of the season Sunday, leading the team to a second-place finish at Bowling Green's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational. She turned in a 36-hole score of 74-72=146 (+2), highlighted by an eagle on the par-four sixth hole in the second round, to earn medalist honors.
