DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's rowing program is set to compete Saturday, April 18-19 at the 2026 SIRA Championships.
The Flyers will travel south to Oakridge, Tenn. to race on the premier rowing venue, Melton Lake.
The University of Dayton women's rowing team had strong showings last outing at the Lubber Cup in Allendale, Mich. Taking first in the Varsity 4+ Heat 1, the Flyers are improving their times as they go against competition the likes of Northwestern, Michigan State, and Illinois.
Heats are expected to start at 8 a.m. ET, with competition slated to continue until late afternoon. The Flyers will face off against squads from Tulane, Kansas State, Florida, Jacksonville, Stetson, Vanderbilt, Rollins, and Duquesne.
This weekend's competition will challenge the women's rowing team but also give them another opportunity to show their strength and progression through the season. It will be a long weekend with 69 heats scheduled for Saturday and another 40 finals on Sunday.
