DAYTON—The University of Dayton track and field will send two student-athletes to compete this Friday, May 8, at the Sycamore Open in Terre Haute, Indiana hosted by Indiana State University.
Rebekah Conrad and
Maggie Hofner will try an qualify for the NCAA East Regional.

Friday: The hammer throw starts action in the field at noon. At the conclusion of both the hammer throw and javelin, the discus will begin.Â

FLYERS IN ACTION
Rebekah Conrad will compete in both the hammer throw and discus. The Butler, Ohio native scored a meet-high 26 points last weekend at the Atlantic 10 Championships to help the Flyers secure their first outdoor title. The senior won the shot put (13.76m), discus (47.41m), and finished third in the hammer throw (56.35m).
Maggie Hofner will compete in the discus, where she holds the fourth-best mark in the conference this year (47.37m). The Massillon, Ohio native finished sixth in the discus (44.54m) last weekend at the A-10 Championships. Â
