Dayton Head Coach Brian Gregory

"You have to give credit to their zone and to our defense overall. We went with a small lineup for a stretch in the second half and it was quite effective."

"When you play as hard as we did on Saturday and lose, it was hard to bounce back for tonight's game. Somehow we pulled it out."

"It's amazing that you can play our butts off and lose one day and play bad tonight and win. It's good that this game wasn't on TV. I am pleased with the win, just not how we played."

"We didn't take a timeout at the end of the game because they were in a scramble and the way their defense was there was no way we were going to get a better opportunity."

On Freshman Jimmy Binnie

"(Jimmy) Binnie was great in the last 10 minutes. He was playing at the four and did a good job defensively. He's gonna be one of those guys when it's all said and done because he's got guts. He knocked a couple of big sxhots, and really showed poise on one with the shot clock running down. He knew he had enough time to shot fake his man up in the air and take one dribble before getting the shot off. For a freshman that's pretty good."

On Senior Mark Jones

"Mark didn't have it tonight, but it was an emotional night for him because he has done a lot of things for our program."

"He's always been a role guy for us and this year he has sacrificed more than anyone for the good of the team. He could have said 'I've got a ring, I've won championships, now it's time for me to get my stats.' But he didn't and that's why we are where we are today."

On Warren Williams

"He's a junior who has been through a lot of games. It's the time of the year that players need to make the plays for you. I'm glad that he made the shots tonight."

Senior Mark Jones

"We were talking about keeping our mind in it after what happened over the weekend against GW."

"It was a great night for me personally, a senior night I will always remember."

Junior Warren Williams

"It turned out I got a whistle at the end. I stepped up to the line with confidence and knocked down the free throws. It felt good."

"I wanted to win this game for Mark. So did the rest of the team. It was a big game for the team and for everything Mark has done for us over the years."

"When the ball was stolen from us, I was definitely think about the GW game, but I knew I had to close it."

Freshman Chris Alvarez

"We didn't play with too much energy in the beginning, but we had some great defense at the end."

"Warren's (Williams) free throws and Jimmy's (Binnie) three-point shooting were clutch at the end."
