RICHARDS LEADS DAYTON PAST FORDHAM, 3-1

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team extended its winning streak to eight matches on the strength of the third consecutive double-double from Jamie-Lee Richards with a 3-1 (28-30, 30-14, 30-24, 30-26) win over Fordham on Saturday. The win was the 19th consecutive regular-season conference victory for the Flyers, which sit atop the A-10 West Division standings at 17-5 overall and 7-0 in conference action.

Richards led all players with 20 kills and 15 digs while recording a .357 hitting percentage, three blocks and a service ace. The junior was one of three Flyers to record 10 kills or more on the afternoon.

Senior Faye Barhorst hit .615 with 17 kills and three blocks of her own while sophomore Nicole Bateman added 13 kills and nine digs for Dayton which improved to 22-1 all-time against Fordham.

Redshirt sophomore Erin Schroeder dished out 54 assists while finishing with 14 digs and three service aces.

Junior libero Adrienne Green also had 14 digs while recording two of UD's nine service aces in the match. Sophomore Mandy Robbe added three service aces of her own as Dayton improved to 11-2 at Frericks Center this season.

UD begins a stretch of five straight road matches next weekend with trip to face A-10 rivals Saint Louis and Duquesne. The Flyers and Billikens square off on Friday at 8 p.m. ET. Dayton then travels to Pittsburgh to face Duquesne on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Both matches can be followed live with Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.
