DAYTON, Ohio - Senior goalkeeper Niki Reed was one of 11 players across the country to be named to the Soccer America Women's Team of the Week after registering 11 saves and two shutouts this past weekend.
Reed recorded her seventh shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over Rhode Island on Sunday and helped the Flyers defeat UMass on Friday (2-0). The Fairfield, Ohio native now has 13 career shutouts which puts her in third place on UD's all-time shutout list.
Reed, who earned A-10 weekly honors earlier this week, notched six saves on Friday versus UMass and tallied five Sunday in the Rhode win as the Flyers improved to 10-3-0 overall and 4-1-0 in the Conference with both wins.
