DAYTON, Ohio -  University of Dayton junior first baseman Christine Eggershas been named to the Second Team ESPN The Magazine All-District Team on Thursday. Eggers, is one of two Flyers to start and play in all games this season (41) and is the team leader in runs with 20.

Eggers, a business major at Dayton, posts a 3.6 cumulative GPA and is currently a member of the Dean's List and Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. In addition to her academic achievements, she also leads UD in walks with 19 and is the co-leader in triples with three. The Dayton, Ohio native is second in hits (35) and has totaled three doubles and six RBI for UD this season.

To be nominated, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve, and carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Team members are selected by a vote of members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) within the district.
