DAYTON GETS BACK TO BUSINESS ON SATURDAY

    MINNEAPOLIS - The Dayton Flyers went back to work as UD prepares for its second round matchup against the Kansas Jayhawks.

    The Flyers had a full day of activities on Saturday continuing their preparation for Sunday's clash. UD had film study, a practice at the Metrodome, media interviews and a team walk through.

    Dayton is looking to return to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1984. The Flyers will have a tough test against the defending national champions, however, on Sunday.

    Kansas, the No. 3 seed in the Midwest Regional, is coming off an 84-74 victory over the North Dakota State Bison in the First Round. The Jayhawks won the Big 12 regular season title and has won seven of its last nine games.

    Dayton leads the all-time series 1-0 against Kansas as the Flyers won 61-48 in the finals of the 1968 NIT in New York. In more recent history, years the Flyers have proved they can handle the big-name programs. The Flyers are 6-2 in the last three years against BCS programs and have won four consecutive games against Big East opponents.
