The University of Dayton men’s soccer team is holding a “2009 Goal of the Year” competition. Fans can vote in an online poll at DaytonFlyers.com.
The Flyers, ranked 14th in the nation in scoring offense, had several highlight-worthy goals to choose from, but the list has been narrowed down to the top five.
The goals were all scored by seniors and include:
- Jeff Popella’s shot versus Xavier
- Isaac Kissi’s first goal against Denver
- Sonny Renner’s game-winning goal against Wright State
- Alex Torda’s game-winner against Charlotte
- Ryan Hartman’s goal against Xavier
Now it’s up to you, the fan, to determine the winner who will be announced at the Men’s Soccer annual banquet to be held Friday, Feb. 5 at UD Arena.
