DAYTON, Ohio – In a doubleheader at Marshall, the University of Dayton softball team lost both games, 7-0 and 10-2.

For the second day in a row, Lauren Nacke hit a two-run homer in the second game to give the Flyers their only runs for the day.

UD recorded two hits in the first game, both during the second inning. Nacke started the inning with a single up the middle and Brandy Brown followed with an infield hit to the shortstop. 

Dayton held Marshall to only one run until the sixth inning when The Herd opened the game up with six runs.

In the second game, Nacke went two-for-two. Down eight in the fourth inning, Megan Lee got on base with a single. Nacke cleared the bags with a homerun to right center, her second this weekend and sixth of the season. Anne Maci also recorded a hit during the second game, a single during the third inning.

On Thursday, April 22 the Flyers travel to IUPUI with the first game starting at 4 p.m. ET.
