PEORIA, Ill. – Three golfers shot a 78 as the University of Dayton Flyers completed the final round of the Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic in seventh place.
One of the Flyers to shoot a 78 was senior Katie Gallagher, who finished tied for 17th among individuals. Gallagher was the only Flyer to shoot in the 70s for the entire tournament carding scores of 79, 78 and 78.
Junior Julie Pouliquen also fired a 78 in round three. Pouliquen finished the tournament in 32nd after shooting an 81 and 84 in the first two rounds.
The third Flyer to card a 78 was junior Megan Keating. Keating bounced back from an 88 and 85 on the first day to record her lowest score of the spring season.
Senior Katie Dempsey shot an 80 in round three and finished in 27th overall. Dempsey had rounds of 82 and 77 on day one.
After shooting an 83 and 81 in the first round, sophomore Clara Ang added another 81 in round three. Senior Cari DeAngelis shot an 85 in round three to complete the scoring.
Dayton heads to the CAA Championships for their final tournament of the 2009-10 season. The CAA Championships will be held April 15-17 in Hot Springs, Va.
