University of Dayton red shirt senior co-captain Devon Langhorst, has been named to the FCS All American Third Team by CollegeSportsMadness.com. Langhorst is one of four players from the Pioneer Football League to be honored.
An intervention specialist major from Sidney, Ohio, Langhorst was named to the First Team All Academic PFL and First Team All-PFL just last week. The talented defensive end was among the PFL’s leaders in sacks (2nd, 1.23 per game), tackles for loss (3rd, 1.64) and tackles (5th, 7.09). He was also 7th in the Football Championship Subdivision in sacks. Langhorst had 31 solo hits (2nd on the team), eight QB hurries (double anyone else on the team), a fumble recovered and a fumble forced.
Joining Langhorst on the third team from the PFL is Jordan Ridley, a Butler linebacker, Billy Janssen, a Drake punter, and two defensive linemen from San Diego, Blake Oliaro and Mario Kurn.
