DAYTON DROPS DOUBLEHEADER TO BALL STATE

MUNCIE, Ind.
– The University of Dayton Flyers fell to the Ball State Cardinals on Thursday in their final doubleheader of the midweek.  Dayton (10-14) lost 10-2 in the first game and 15-1 in the second.

Kathleen Maloof was 2-for-3 with one home run against the Cardinals. Freshman Dana Trotta was .500 with Dayton’s only other RBI.

Sophomore Amanda Daly (2-3) was dealt the loss in the first game. Daly threw 3.1 innings over the course of two games and had one strikeout. Kelsi Seidlitz was saddled with the loss in the second game. Alysha Isaacson and Sarah Wedel also pitched in relief.

Dayton hopes to regain its footing this weekend, when they host the George Washington Colonials on Saturday, March 26. First pitch is slated for Noon at UD Softball Stadium. Patrons should be aware of possible traffic due to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Regional which is being played across the street at UD Arena.
