LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Dayton softball team (7-7) was shutout 10-0 by No. 19/20 Texas Tech (22-0) in five innings in its final game of the Red Raider Classic.

Freshman Rachel Archer was 2-for-3 in the game, while junior Courtney Kutsulis was 1-for-1.

Junior pitcher Sarah Wedel (1-3) pitched 3.1 innings and allowed six earned runs. Wedel had one strikeout on the day. Freshman Alysha Isaacson pitched 0.2 innings and had four earned runs against.

The Flyers will have the week off before they host the IUPUI Jaguars in their home opener. First pitch for the doubleheader is slated for 3 p.m. on March 15. The games will mark the first regular season games in the newly-renovated UD Softball Stadium.
