DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton Flyers fell to the UMass Minutewomen 9-1 on Friday at UD Softball Stadium. Dayton is 13-22 and 5-6 in the Atlantic 10.

Junior Brandy Brown was 3-for-3 on Friday. Brown had a base hit, a double and scored UD’s lone run of the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the second inning.

Freshman Alysha Isaacson was dealt the loss. Isaacson (8-9) struck out two and allowed four earned runs against UMass. Sarah Wedel allowed one earned run and had one punchout in 4.2 innings pitched.

Dayton hosts UMass in the second game of the series on Saturday at Noon ET at UD Softball Stadium. Live stats will be available for the game.
