KRABACHER NAMED A-10 CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced their weekly release for women's volleyball Monday and named the University of Dayton's Rachel Krabacher as the Co-Offensive Player of the Week.

Krabacher led Dayton to a trio of victories this past week over Xavier, Fordham, and Rhode Island with her 4.50 kills per set average.  The senior leader racked up 45 kills, a .417 hitting percentage, and just five errors in 10 sets for the Flyers.  Krabacher began the week with 25 kills against the Musketeers, just one shy of her season high.  In the other two matches, the Cincinnati native recorded 10 kills apiece and was just as effective on the defensive side as well.

This marks the second time this year that Krabacher has received at least a share of the offensive award, also earning the honor on August 27.  She is also a Top 30 candidate for the Senior CLASS Award this year as well.

The Dayton senior joined Duquesne's Arielle Love as Co-Offensive Player of the Week, while VCU's Martina Samadan was named both Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week.

Krabacher and the rest of the Flyers will head out on the road next, facing Saint Louis on Friday and Butler on Sunday.  Dayton is 15-4 on the season and a perfect 7-0 in A-10 play.
