NASHPORT, Ohio – Freshman Mika Suntay matched her season-best with a 74 in round two of the MAC Preview.
Suntay, who previously shot a 74 at the Detroit Titans Fall Classic earlier this year, finished tied for 13th among individuals. Suntay led the tournament field with 25 pars.
Next up for Dayton was senior Kelly Coakley who carded an 84 in round two. She ended the tournament in a tie for 41st.
Junior Grace Nikolai bounced back from a 91 in round one with an 80 in the second round. Junior Erin Peavy tied with Nikolai after she shot an 85 in round two.
Sophomore Lucy Frey added an 84 in round two. Freshman Amalia Emma showed the biggest improvement from round one with an 82, a difference of 13 strokes.
As a team, Dayton shot a 322 and placed in 14th.
Up next for Dayton is the UD Fall Invitational. Held Monday, Oct. 22 and Tuesday, Oct. 23, the 36-hole tournament will take place at the NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio.
