After achieving 1-1 last weekend, the University of Dayton men’s tennis team looks to improve upon their 2-2 overall record.
Following a tough 4-3 loss against Valparaiso on Saturday, the Flyers made great strides against IPFW on Sunday. Freshmen
Aidan Koross,
Josh Malyon, and
Colin Bernier beat each of their opponents in singles competition. In doubles,
Robert Salcedo and
Joe West defeated IPFW’s Daniel Kang and Junya Saruta, 8-6. Following the win, Malyon and
Andrew Hanley overcame Joao Freitas and Andres Cobos, 8-6, to solidify the match victory.
The Flyers will be busy this weekend as they host Northern Kentucky, Friday at 1:00 PM and Detroit Mercy, Sunday at noon.
