Sophomore Alysha Isaacson went 4-for-7 and tied game two in the seventh inning with a leadoff home run. Isaacson (1-6) was dealt the loss in the circle for the second game. She had four strikeouts.

English pitched effectively for the majority of game one, averaging two strikeouts per inning over the first four innings.

St. Bonaventure struck first in the fourth inning when SBU’s Hali Enderby hit a three-run home run.

Lindsay Stowell sacrificed home Kelli Rohan on a fly ball to centerfield in the fifth inning to give St. Bonaventure the eventual 4-0 win over Dayton.

The Flyers pounced on the Bonnies in game two, scoring four runs in the first frame. Junior Kathleen Maloof sacrificed home sophomore Rachel Archer. Kutsulis uncorked a two-out, two-run blast and freshman Jordan Jennings also hit a home run in the next at-bat to put UD ahead by four.

The Bonnies came back in the second inning scoring three runs. SBU had a leadoff home run by Brooke Frey. Brittany Storch drove a base hit up the middle to score a run, and pinch hitter Ashely Nowack also brought home a run on a base hit to right field.

St. Bonaventure took a 5-4 lead in the top of the third inning on Frey’s second home run, a two-run homer over the centerfield wall.

The Bonnies struck again in the fourth on Frey’s RBI-base hit to left field to take a 6-4 lead.

Dayton fought back feverishly in the final two innings. In the bottom of the sixth inning, freshman pinch hitter Natalie Mariano had a base hit up the middle, pulling Dayton within one run. In the seventh, Isaacson evened the score, belting a leadoff home run to send the game to extra innings.

Tied six apiece, the Bonnies scored the go-ahead run on a base-hit by Jessenia Andujar. A fielding error led to another run for St. Bonaventure.

With the go-ahead run at the plate, the Flyers attempted to get both of its runners into scoring position. However, a double steal attempt was thwarted as SBU’s catcher Frey caught Ricks stealing third. UD grounded out in the final at-bat of the game to give the Bonnies an 8-6 win in eight innings.
