Behind a crowd of more than 1,000 people, the Dayton Flyer volleyball team held their annual Red & Blue scrimmage.
The intrasqaud scrimmage lasted three sets with the Red squad defeating the Blue team 2-1. Dayton mixed up its lineup shuffling players back and forth on both teams during the scrimmage.
One of the things that really stuck out during the scrimmage was the amount of depth that this year's Flyer squad possesses. The coaching staff was able to tinker around with the lineups and try different things throughout the scrimmage, yet still maintain a good competitive match the whole time.
Next up for Dayton is the Flyer Classic, one of the highest profile in-season tournaments in the NCAA. Dayton will host No. 7 Illinois, No. 11 Pepperdine and Ohio in the Flyer Classic from Aug. 24-26. All matches at the Flyer Classic are free and open to the public.
