LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Behind rounds of an even-par 72 and a 73 from senior Sean Keating, the Dayton Flyers ended day one of the Cardinal Collegiate in ninth.
As a team, the Flyers shot a 303 in round one and a 285 in the second.
Also shooting a 72 was senior Matt Buse. Buse is one stroke back of Keating after he shot a 74 in round one.
Junior Andrew Steffensmeier tallied the low round of the day for Dayton with a four-under par 68 in round two. He shot an 83 in his first 18 holes of play.
Sophomore Thomas Goss shot a 75 in round one and a career-best 73 in the second round. Goss is tied for 38th after the first two rounds of play.
Senior John Muir matched his career-best with a 72 in round two. He carded an 82 in the first round.
The third and final round will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
