BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Against the host Western Kentucky Lady Toppers, the No. 10 Dayton Flyers dropped their second straight match 25-17, 21-25, 15-25, 20-25.
Senior
Rachel Krabacher led the Flyers in kills with 17 and added seven digs while junior
Megan Campbell recorded a season-high 15 kills and hit .520.
“Tonight, we got beat by a team that wanted to win more than we did,” said head coach Kelly Sheffield. “I thought we came out to start the match hungry and driven. We had a little bit of success in game one and then we just let up. When you let up against a really good team like that, you get beat.”
Sophomore
Isolde Hannan added 10 kills and four blocks of her own.
Samantha Selsky chipped in with 45 assists and nine digs.
In the WKU match, Dayton hit .302 overall, but the Lady Toppers were just as strong with a .319 hitting percentage.
Dayton will wrap up the WKU Invitational on Saturday against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles. The match will start at 4 p.m. ET.
