JAMES NAMED NSCAA D-I WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Freshman Has Led Dayton To Program-Record Six Consecutive Shutouts

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - University of Dayton freshman goalkeeper Elizabeth James was named the Disney Soccer/NSCAA Division I Women's Player of the Week for Oct. 7 through Oct. 13.

James posted two shutouts last weekend to keep Dayton perfect in Atlantic 10 action at 4-0. She has posted six consecutive shutouts, which breaks a UD program record. The Flyers have outscored opponents 17-0 in those six matches. James leads the A-10 in save percentage (.851) and shutouts (7).

Following her exceptional performance, she was also named A-10 Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

The Flyers host Saint Louis next Saturday, Oct. 19 for Senior Night at 7 p.m. All five UD seniors will be honored prior to the match.
