DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team travels to Richmond, Va. for a two-match road trip that begins Thursday night with a bout against the University of Richmond that kicks off at 7 p.m.

Dayton (6-3-2; 3-0-0) hits the road for a pair of A-10 matches riding a four-match win and shutout streak.
Liv Grenda and
Laney Smith lead the Flyers with six points each, Grenda doing it with two goals and two assists, while Smith has scored a team-high three goals. Senior keeper
Batoul Reda leads all of NCAA DI with eight shutouts.
SCOUTING DUQUESNE
The Spiders (3-5-3; 0-3-0) have struggled out of the gate in conference play, losing to Duquesne (3-0), George Mason (2-0), and Fordham (1-0). Despite the recent struggles offensively, Emma Newman has had a strong season for Richmond, scoring five goals and adding two assists for 12 total points. Keeper Veronica Rrapi has seen the most time in goal, allowing nine goals on the season for a 1.00 goals-against average.
SERIES STUFF
Dayton has held a decisive advantage over Richmond over the 24-year history over the matchup, holding a 15-3-2 record all-time against the Spiders dating back to 2001. Dayton is unbeaten in the last nine matches against Richmond, posting a 8-0-1 record. Last season,
Noel Blain scored a hat trick against the Spiders, with current Flyer
Aya Saiki adding her first goal for UD in a 4-0 victory.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Flyers scored a pair of second-half goals to lift the Flyers to a 2-0 A-10 victory over Duquesne on Sunday afternoon. The victory boosted Dayton to 6-3-2 on the campaign.
• UD got on the board in the 57th minute when sophomore
Liv Grenda played a Duquesne clear attempt to the ground, worked past a pair of defenders, and ripped a shot by the keeper to make it 1-0.
• Minutes later, the Flyers doubled their advantage on a beautiful bit of passing, as
Ky Hau-Golden fed Grenda in the box, who then tapped a pass to the waiting
Olivia Baca. Baca beat the keeper for her second goal of the season.

DOMINANT DEFENSE
• Dayton has now turned in eight shutouts in the 2025 season, including each of the last four matches and all three in Atlantic 10 play. The shutout streak has now climbed over 400 minutes.

REDA EARNS SECOND A-10 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOD

Batoul Reda led the Flyers' defense from the keeper position, posting two more shutouts to bring Dayton's season total to eight.
• Reda stopped both shots she faced in UD's win over Loyola Chicago, and then stood tall against the best scoring offense in the A-10 coming into the week in Duquesne, turning aside all five shots she faced.
• Reda is tied for the national lead in career shutouts with Maria Galley from Xavier.

CLIMBING THE RANKINGS
• Dayton's defense has been climbing the national rankings since conference play began. Not only do the Flyers rank No. 1 in goals against average in the conference, but they also rank 24th nationally.
• UD's shutout percentage is also among the country's elite, leading the A-10 and ranking seventh in Division I.
BALANCED ATTACK
• The Flyers have had a balanced offensive attack all season long, and the numbers continue to prove the depth that UD boasts.
