The nationally-ranked University of Dayton women’s basketball team hosts Duquesne Monday, Feb. 18 at UD Arena in a Red Out. Two of the top teams in the Atlantic 10 conference will square off in this CBS Sports Network nationally-televised game with John Sadak (play-by-play) and Julianne Viani (analyst) on the call. Tip is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Game audio is also available on DaytonFlyers.com with Shane White and Angie Russell. The Flyers are first in the A-10 standings at 9-0, while Duquesne is 8-2 in the conference.
PROMOTIONS
- The game is Heart Health Awareness Game and fans are asked to wear red to Go Red for women’s heart health and for a Red Out effect. Fans who wear red get in for $1.
- Free blood pressure screenings will be offered by a UD medical squad from 8-9 p.m. on the South concourse.
- The American Heart Association will pass out brochures and information on heart health.
- A Nook give-away will be held at halftime for members of RedScare with the winner determined by a game of knockout.
- The first 700 fans will receive a Coach Jabir face stick.
- The Flyers are wearing pink jerseys the rest of February. The uniforms will be auctioned off at the end of the season with all proceeds going to breast cancer research.
FLYER FACTS
• For the 13th consecutive week Dayton is ranked in both the Associated Press Top 25 Poll and the USA Today Coaches Poll.
• No. 17 Dayton is 1 of 5 teams with just one loss in NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball. The others are: Baylor, Connecticut, Duke and Notre Dame.
• The Flyers are in the Top 15 in four NCAA rankings: 5th in assists per game (18.0), 4th in win-loss percentage (95.5), 6th in scoring offense (78.3 ppg) and 7th in scoring margin (+21.3).
• The Flyers, who had a bye week last week, are coming off a 68-57 win at Fordham on Feb. 10. The win gave UD Head Coach Jim Jabir his 400th career victory. He is the 46th active coach to reach that plateau. Jabir owns a .536 career winning percentage over 26 seasons.
• The Flyers have four players averaging more than 10.0 ppg: sophomore Ally Malott (11.4 - 16th in A-10), freshman Amber Deane (11.3 - 18th in A-10), sophomore Andrea Hoover (11.2 - 19th in A-10), and senior Sam MacKay (10.3). Eight of UD’s 10 active players have led UD in single-game scoring this season. Dayton is the only team in the A-10 to have three players in the Top 20 in scoring.
• Dayton has beaten four BCS teams this season: from the Big East (DePaul), Big Ten (Michigan State), Pac 12 (Arizona State) and SEC (Vanderbilt).

• Duquesne leads the all-time series 18-14, despite Dayton owning a winning record (10-7) at UD Arena. The last time these two teams met UD picked up a 74-69 overtime victory at the A.J. Palumbo Center on Feb. 25, 2012. Cassie Sant’s nine points were the most by a current Flyer.
SCOUTING DUQUESNE
• The Dukes are 19-5 overall and 8-2 in the Atlantic 10. Conference losses have come at Charlotte and against Saint Joseph’s in an overtime thriller. The Dukes have had two noteable wins coming against Delaware, who at the time was ranked No. 17, and West Virginia, who was then ranked No. 20.
• Wumi Agunbiade leads Duquesne in scoring with 13.3 ppg, rebouding with 7.3 rpg, blocks with 38 total, and minutes played at 29.9 per game. Four players for Duquesne are averaging more than 8 points a game: Agunbiade (13.3), April Robinson (9.4), Jocelyn Floyd (9.2), and Orsi Szecsi (8.2).
