FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The stellar spring season for the Dayton Flyers continues.
Behind a pair of 77’s from freshman Mika Suntay and senior Kelly Coakley, the Dayton Flyers finished in fourth at the 2013 IPFW Spring Classic. It is the second straight Top 5 finish for UD during the spring 2013 season.
Suntay and Coakley each tied for seventh among individuals. For Coakley, it was the best finish of her 2012-13 campaign.
Junior Erin Peavy tied for 20th after shooting an 81 in round two. Junior Grace Nikolai rebounded from an 84 in round one to fire a team-best 76 in round two.
Freshman Jacki Berardi carded an 84 in round two to complete the team scoring.
Dayton in round two finished with a 311, six strokes fewer than their round one total.
Sophomore Lucy Frey had another solid round with a 79. She finished in a tie for 20th. Sophomore Kelly Muskat added an 88 in the second round.
Next up for Dayton will be the Eastern Kentucky Invitational held April 5-6 at the Arlington Country Club.
