GAME PREVIEW
• The University of Dayton baseball team will play its first home game of the 2014 season on Tuesday when it hosts Cincinnati at 3 p.m. at Woerner Field of Time Warner Cable Stadium.
• The Flyers enter the game with a 3-10 record overall and amidst a seven-game losing streak. Dayton has struggled offensively over the past two weeks, but has had to deal with a number of injuries.
• Cincinnati is 4-10 overall this season and 1-4 away from home. Prior to losing their most recent game, the Bearcats had won two in a row over Youngstown State. UC has wins over Wake Forest and Missouri in 2014 as well.

RECENT ACTION
• Most recently, the Flyers fell to Wright State on Sunday, 13-1, after giving up nine runs in one inning. That wrapped-up an 0-4 weekend for UD.
• Cincinnati is coming off a close 5-4 loss to Eastern Michigan at home on Sunday. The Bearcats had a 4-3 lead in the fifth inning, but gave up two runs late to fall to EMU. UC had 12 hits in the game as well.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
• Overall, Dayton is batting .209 as a team with 14 stolen bases and 21 doubles. Aaron Huesman leads the team with two home runs and 13 RBI while Zach Schira has seven RBI and a .326 mark.
• The Flyers have a team ERA of 8.10 with 63 strikeouts in 110 innings of work. Bryce Lahrman has the team's lone save, but started UD's game this past Sunday.
• The starter for Tuesday's game is TBA.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
• As a team, the Bearcats are hitting .257 with a slugging percentage of .328 and an on-base percentage of .333. Matt Williams is the biggest offensive threat, with a .389 average, 21 hits, and 10 runs scored to go with five extra-base hits and seven RBI. Ian Happ leads the team with 11 RBI as well.
• The pitching staff has a combined ERA 4.64.
• Dayton will face sophomore righty Mitch Patishall on Tuesday. He has a 7.24 ERA, 0-3 record, and 10 strikeouts in 13.2 innings of work.

LAST SEASON VS. CINCINNATI
• Last year, the Flyers were leading the Bearcats before rain halted the game and prevented the contest from being finished. The game on April 16 did not reach enough innings to count as a complete game so Dayton did not get the decision.

FORECAST
• The weather is expected to be mid-60's with an 10% chance of rain.
