GAME PREVIEW• Dayton Baseball hosts Eastern Michigan in non-conference action on Wednesday, April 2 at 4 p.m. at Woerner Field.
• The Flyers take a break from Atlantic 10 action and head into Wednesday's contest with a 9-16 record overall. Dayton is 5-3 at home and 6-13 in non-conference play this year. Most recently, the Flyers went 1-2 at Fordham this past weekend after winning their midweek contest against Baldwin Wallace.
• Eastern Michigan comes to Dayton with a 10-13 record and 5-9 road mark this season. Head coach Jay Alexander is in his sixth year at the helm and has helped the Eagles to wins over No. 16 Clemson, Cincinnati, Northwestern, and Austin Peay in 2014. In recent action, EMU dropped two of three games to Kent State in MAC play. The Eagles did win the finale though, 2-1 on Sunday. Eastern Michigan hosts Michigan State Tuesday before battling the Flyers.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS• The Dayton offense is batting .254 as a team with 47 steals, 54 doubles, and a .341 on-base percentage.

Zach Schira has 19 RBI and eight steals. Dayton has eight different players with double-digit RBI totals through 25 games and four players batting over .300.
• The UD pitching staff has an ERA of 7.09 with 128 strikeouts, 110 walks, and four saves in 217 innings of work. The Flyers have used five freshman out of the bullpen this year.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES• Eastern Michigan is batting. 263 overall with a .367 slugging percentage, .358 on-base percentage, and 40 steals in 50 attempts. The Eagles have averaged just 3.1 runs and 6.3 hits in the last seven games however.
• Leading the way for the Eagles is Lee Longo, who is batting .384 with 12 doubles, 23 RBI and a .449 on-base percentage. John Rubino has chipped in 19 RBI and 17 runs while Mitchell McGeein has four home runs and 17 RBI.
