FLYERS ADVANCE TO THREE FINALS AT OCCOQUAN SPRINTS

Dayton Raced Against Teams From Navy, North Carolina, George Mason and Duquesne

WOODBRIDGE, Va. –
The University of Dayton rowing team advanced to three finals at the 20th Annual Occoquan Sprints Sunday at Sandy Run Regional Park.

The V8+ boat of junior Meghan Harden (coxswain), junior Allison Martie, senior Katelyn Reynolds, junior Mary Willard, sophomore Erin Mohney, senior McKay Rehwinkel, junior Emma Tokar, sophomore Allie Rogers, and senior Haley Murrell placed fifth in the Grand Final with a time of 6:50.74. 

The Flyers also placed fifth in the 2V8+ Grand Final in a time of 7:31.47 with the boat of junior Caitlin Ferris (coxswain), sophomore Alex Anain, freshman Rosie Perez, freshman Kayla Contardi, senior Susie Klimowicz, freshman Grace Hagan, sophomore Rachel Hock, junior Amanda Matney, and freshman Danielle Foust.

The boat of freshman Madison Doty (coxswain), junior Meghan Casey, freshman Chloe Hollinden, senior Julie Wittman, and freshman Katy Speed placed third in the V4+ Petite Final with a time of 8:58.52.

The Flyers will be back in action at the SIRA on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19 in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
