DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team will play its final non-conference game on Tuesday as the Flyers head to Akron for a 4 p.m. contest.
Dayton is 22-26 this year with a 9-16 road record. Most recently, the Flyers took two of three from La Salle at home this past weekend, including a 5-0 shutout on Saturday.

th year at Dayton and his looking to keep Dayton's momentum moving forward into the last week of the regular season.
Akron is 24-25 overall this year with a 9-6 home record and 13-12 non-conference mark. The Zips have struggled as of late, dropping four of their last five contests, but hopes to get back on track against the Flyers at Lee Jackson Field on Tuesday. Head coach Rick Rembielak is in his third year at the helm of the program.

- The Flyer pitching staff has combined for a 5.94 ERA and 251 strikeouts in 415 1/3 innings this season. Nate Harris and Nick Weybright both have three saves apiece with Bryce Lahrman adding two.

- Devan Ahart leads the team with 33 runs scored, three home runs, 24 RBI, and 26 stolen bases. Kris Simonton has a .317 average with 33 runs, 19 doubles, and 10 steals also.
- The Zip pitching staff has an ERA of 3.99 and 262 strikeouts compared to 184 walks. Matt LaRocca is the main closer for Akron with four saves in 13 relief appearances while Masashi Sakamoto leads the team with a 1.78 ERA and one save in 18 appearances.
- Defensively, Akron has a .967 fielding percentage with 33 double plays turned and 62 errors.
