ERHAHON ATLANTIC 10'S CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sophomore Amber Erhahon Led the Flyers with 3.22 Kills/Set

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - University of Dayton volleyball sophomore Amber Erhahon was named the Atlantic 10's Co-Player of the Week on Oct. 26 as announced by the league office. Erhahon led the Flyers with 3.22 kills/set in two wins during the week of Oct. 19-25.

Sharing the conference's top weekly award with Erhahon is Rhode Island junior Callan Kinnan. George Washington senior Maddy Doyle was chosen as the league's Defensive Player of the Week and Davidson freshman Sabrina Shepherd was chosen as Rookie of the Week.

On Wednesday, Erhahon recorded a career-high 18 kills to two errors in 26 attempts for a .615 hitting percentage at Xavier. The middle blocker from Albany, Calif., also tallied five blocks and two digs in the 3-2 win over the Musketeers. In Saturday's 3-1 win over Saint Louis in a battle for first place, Erhahon had 11 kills to go with a career-high eight digs and six blocks. For the week, she hit .469 and scored 4.0 points per set for Dayton. This is the fourth weekly league award for Erhahon.

Dayton (17-5, 9-0 A-10) is the only remaining unbeaten team in A-10 action and the Flyers are currently enjoying a 15-match winning streak. The Flyers are scheduled to play four matches this week kicking off with a 6 p.m. match-up with the Eastern Kentucky Colonels Tuesday night at Frericks Center. Over the weekend, UD will hit the road for matches at Rhode Island, Fordham and Seton Hall.
