DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's soccer team will play its final road game of the regular season on Saturday as the Flyers head to Fordham in Atlantic 10 action on Saturday. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Jack Coffey Field in the Bronx.
SCOUTING THE FLYERSDayton leads the Atlantic 10 standings with 15 points and looks to defend that spot against second-place Fordham on Saturday. The Flyers are 10-4-2 on the season and 5-0-1 in the conference. UD is 4-2-2 on the road this year and heads back out after three straight home games. Head coach

The Flyers lead all of Division I with 2.69 goals per game and 43 total games in 16 games this season. They are three goals shy of a school record for a regular season. Dayton is holding opponents to 1.13 goals per game and is out-shooting opposing squads 16.9-11.3. The Flyers have corner kick advantage as well, 110-92.

Michael Frasca each have five assists on the season, team-highs. Junior goalkeeper
Justin Saliba has four shutouts and eight wins in 13 starts, along with a 1.10 goals against average and 34 saves.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
FORDHAMThe Fordham Rams come into the match with a 6-6-3 overall record and a 4-2-0 record in A-10 play. The Rams have wins against Fairfield, Columbia (ranked 21st at the time of play), La Salle, Davidson, Duquesne, and Rhode Island.
The Rams have lost two out of their last three games. Most recently, the team lost to George Mason 5-1. Despite the recent losses, Fordham is tied for second place in the A-10 with George Washington.
Jannik and Janos Loebe lead the offensive attack for the Rams. The brothers from Kierspe, Germany, have each scored four goals and lead the team with 13 and 11 points respectively. Jannik Loebe is a sophomore, and he was named to the 2014 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. Janos is a freshman playing in his first season for Fordham.
Fordham has a roster that features eight international players hailing from Canada, Germany, Ghana, Ireland, Norway and South Korea.
The Rams are led by Head Coach Jim McElderry. McElderry is in his 13th season at the helm. Last season, the Rams won the Atlantic 10 Tournament and made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. McElderry has an overall record of 94-105-35.
THE SERIESThe Flyers and Rams have met 17 times in the series history with Dayton winning 10 times and Fordham winning six times. Last season, the Rams came out on top 2-1 in Dayton.

Fordham suffered a 5-1 defeat at George Mason last Saturday, the second loss in the past three games. Eric Ohlendorf provided the lone goal for the Rams in the 56th minute.
LEADING THE WAYThe Flyers are having a stellar season offensively, leading the Atlantic 10 in shots (16.94), points (7.75), goals (2.69), assists (2.38), and corner kicks (6.88). Dayton is also third in goals against average (1.09) and goals allowed (18).
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGEDayton has out-scored opponents 26-2 over its past five home games, including a 7-1 win over Saint Joseph's in the last outing. The Flyers are 6-1 in games at home as well, outscoring opponents 30-5. UD has allowed just two goals at home since Sept. 12.
OFFENSIVE POWERHOUSEThe Flyers have been a force on the offensive side of the ball this season, ranking in the top 10 nationally in numerous statistical categories. Dayton currently leads the nation in total goals (43), scoring offense (2.69), total points (124), and points per game (7.75). The Flyers are also second in total assists (38), second in assists per game (2.38), and seventh in shots per game (16.94).
SCHOONDERWOERD IS CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEKThe Flyers had their third Co-Player of the Week honor on Oct. 26 as senior
Maik Schoonderwoerd earned his first accolade of the season. After his hat trick performance against UMass, the Netherlands native was named Co-Player of the Week in the Atlantic 10.
CURRIER'S IMPACTThe head coach of the Flyers has had success at every place he has coached.
Dennis Currier is in his 11th year at Dayton and holds a career record of 298-115-43 in 22 seasons and a 110-66-31 record with the Flyers. His career winning percentage of .701 ranks fifth in the nation amongst active coaches, ahead of programs like Maryland, Stanford, UCLA, and Virginia.
UP NEXTThe Flyers will end the regular season at home on Nov. 7 against VCU. It will be Senior Night at Baujan Field, recognizing the nine Flyer seniors before the game.
